Welcome to Offshoot Productions, a professional theatre company now in its thirteenth season, located in the heart of the Southern Crescent.
Offshoot Productions is an non-profit organization dedicated to quality theatre productions and arts education. Offshoot Productions offers professional cast productions; acting classes for children, teens, and adults; year-round acting workshops and summer theatre camps; and numerous volunteer opportunities.
One of our most popular offerings is the Apprenticeship Program; a chance for non-professional actors to develop skills in all areas of theatre, from acting to set construction, stage management or house management.
Offshoot's professional-cast productions have ranged from Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie (1996) to Mark Twain and the Human Race by artistic director Susan Steadman (1997) and Shakespeare's Twelfth Night (2001), Midsummer Night's Dream (2002) and the Tempest (2005). Offshoot is also noted for its participation plays for children, including such colorful and energetic touring productions as Snow White (2004-5), The Pied Piper (2005-6), and the Frog Prince (2006).
Offshoot's eclectic coffeehouse, Stars on the Southern Crescent is a seasonal gathering of the finest artists drawn from the greater Atlanta area and beyond in a comfortable, intimate setting.
